The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kavaja keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Kavaja misses with a wild combination.

Kavaja will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Cerone clinches.
Kavaja is trying to break free.
Cerone is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kavaja manages to break the clinch.
Kavaja misses with a few strikes there.

Cerone changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kavaja tries to avoid it but Cerone manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kavaja to the ground. Kavaja escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kavaja lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Cerone has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Cerone and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kavaja wants to stand but Cerone is controlling the position.

Kavaja is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Kavaja is wriggling around but Cerone manages to pass to half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kavaja can do anything to dispel that myth.
