Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Benzi Kato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mervin Dodoy Ruiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mervin Dodoy Ruiz will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Benzi Kato!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mervin Dodoy Ruiz!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruiz avoids a kick to the body.
Ruiz bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kato's head backwards.
Kato shoots in but no luck this time.
Ruiz falls off balance throwing a combination
and Kato counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kato.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Kato trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Ruiz is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kato is controlling him.
Kato is stalling in the full guard.
Kato landing some decent shots from guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kato throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ruiz works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Kato has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kato is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kato wants to control from the top but Ruiz keeps moving.
Kato content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Ruiz is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Kato is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Kato sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ruiz's guard.
Ruiz looks winded!
Kato in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Ruiz tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Kato!
