Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Veli Schwarzeneg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Khosrow Shimardi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shimardi has chosen Masters of Persian Music - Saz va Avaz as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Fedor Mirinova and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shimardi throws a predictable looking body shot
and Schwarzeneg holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
A battle for position here, against the ropes.
Schwarzeneg pushes off an throws an elbow but Shimardi leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the ropes.
Shimardi scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Schwarzeneg pulls guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Shimardi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Shimardi wants it to stay on the feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nice uppercut lands for Shimardi. That snapped Schwarzeneg's head back.
Shimardi throws a looping overhand right but Schwarzeneg ducks down to avoid it.
Schwarzeneg's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Shimardi connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Schwarzeneg scrambles back to his feet.
A big right from Shimardi misses.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Shimardi lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Schwarzeneg is rocked!
Shimardi fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Schwarzeneg to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Schwarzeneg looks to clinch but Shimardi throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Schwarzeneg taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Khosrow Shimardi!
An out of breath Khosrow Shimardi thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
