Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John McClane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Cormeir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McClane comes to the cage accompanied by Refuse/Resist. Cormeir has chosen -N- The Bay as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John McClane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cain Cormeir!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cormeir changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McClane tries to avoid it but Cormeir manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McClane to the ground. McClane escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Cormeir shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McClane pinned against the cage. McClane gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
McClane stuffs the takedown attempt from Cormeir. Cormeir gets slowly back to his feet.
John McClane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cain Cormeir.
Cormeir misses with a takedown attempt - McClane sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Cain Cormeir seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cormeir has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

McClane ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Cormeir bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
McClane tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Cormeir wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Cormeir wants to lay and pray for a moment but McClane keeps working.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Cormeir in particular looking to stall.

McClane escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cormeir gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Cormeir is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cain Cormeir is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Cormeir takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Cormeir closes the distance and clinches up with McClane, looking for a takedown. Cormeir pushes McClane against the cage but McClane circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

John McClane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cain Cormeir.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from McClane.
McClane misses with a looping right.
Cormeir is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

McClane lands a big head kick that sends Cormeir tumbling to the mat! McClane takes a step backwards and waves Cormeir back to his feet - he wants the finish!

McClane looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

John McClane showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Cormeir has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
