Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John McClane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Cormeir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McClane comes to the cage accompanied by Refuse/Resist. Cormeir has chosen -N- The Bay as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John McClane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cain Cormeir! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cormeir changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McClane tries to avoid it but Cormeir manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McClane to the ground. McClane escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Cormeir shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McClane pinned against the cage. McClane gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. McClane stuffs the takedown attempt from Cormeir. Cormeir gets slowly back to his feet. John McClane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cain Cormeir. Cormeir misses with a takedown attempt - McClane sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Cain Cormeir seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cormeir shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Cormeir shoots in looking for a takedown but McClane manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cormeir's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Cormeir takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Cormeir drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. McClane has his hands on Cormeir's head, controlling the position. Cormeir throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McClane works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cormeir trying to control the position from guard on top but McClane is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. McClane can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Cormeir controls the pace. Cormeir postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Cormeir tries to free his leg and advance position but McClane is retaining full guard. Cormeir throws a big elbow that misses. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cormeir stays in close to McClane's body and controls the position. Cormeir throws an elbow that misses. McClane uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cormeir's guard. Nice move by McClane!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cormeir looking for a sweep. Not yet Cormeir, not yet. Cormeir has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The ref stands the fighters back up. John McClane wasn't doing enough on the ground. McClane misses with a straight left. Cormeir misses with a takedown attempt - McClane sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. McClane ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. That's three minutes gone in the round. A decent looking cross lands there for McClane. McClane displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Cormeir. Cormeir shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. McClane defends it nicely. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cormeir. Cormeir bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. McClane tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Cormeir wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. McClane manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cormeir wants to lay and pray for a moment but McClane keeps working. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Cormeir in particular looking to stall. Cormeir throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Cormeir drops an elbow to the side of McClane's head. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cormeir slows the pace down in half guard. Cormeir throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Cain Cormeir will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Cormeir looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McClane is fending him off so far but Cormeir persists. Nope, McClane circles away and we're back to standing. McClane throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Cormeir shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says McClane as he avoids it easily. Cormeir doesn't manage to clinch there - McClane circles away.
Cormeir fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. John McClane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cain Cormeir. A jab from McClane finds it's way through Cormeir's defenses. Cormeir shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Cain Cormeir has got the better of the ground game so far. McClane controlling Cormeir's posture. Cormeir throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McClane works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Cormeir not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. McClane on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if McClane tries to get out of the position. Cormeir with a nice head shot there. McClane pulls Cormeir in close to prevent any damage. Cormeir cracks McClane with a solid left hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cormeir trying to control but McClane is working from the bottom. McClane controls Cormeir momentarily but Cormeir frees himself. McClane working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Cormeir. Cormeir is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Cormeir postures up in McClane's guard and throws a big left but McClane blocks it. McClane looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cormeir is one step ahead there. Cormeir engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Cormeir is trying hard to land a takedown here. McClane sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. McClane dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Cain Cormeir is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Cormeir displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as McClane throws out the jab. Cormeir looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. McClane connects with a leg kick. Cormeir looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cormeir shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McClane sprawls well. McClane manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! McClane looking to sweep here. No luck so far. McClane preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. McClane seems keen to control Cormeir's posture. McClane escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cormeir gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Cormeir is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cain Cormeir has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. McClane chopping away at his opponent's legs.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A right-left combo lands from McClane. Cormeir misses with the combination.
John McClane has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Cormeir shoots in for a takedown but McClane shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Cain Cormeir is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Cormeir takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Cormeir closes the distance and clinches up with McClane, looking for a takedown. Cormeir pushes McClane against the cage but McClane circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Cormeir shoots for a double leg takedown but McClane sprawls well. He's pushed Cormeir's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. John McClane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cain Cormeir. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from McClane. McClane misses with a looping right. Cormeir is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. McClane lands a big head kick that sends Cormeir tumbling to the mat! McClane takes a step backwards and waves Cormeir back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Cormeir is rocked! Cormeir shoots in looking for a takedown but McClane manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cormeir's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Cormeir is still on wobbly legs! Can McClane finish him? McClane looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
And that's the end of the fight! John McClane showed his dominance in that final round. I think Cormeir has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
