Macdonald has chosen Roy jones - Can't be touched as his entrance music. Melvin Macdonald acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Macdonald fails with the takedown.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Tate closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Tate perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Macdonald pushes Tate off looking to stand but Tate dives back in and keeps control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Tate is looking for a kimura but Macdonald is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tate to get the leverage.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Tate enables Macdonald to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Tate manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

He's trying desperately to grab hold of Tate around the waist but Tate pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Tate is the winner by TKO! Tate jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
