Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Ryu Hayabusa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daley Bornstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bornstein has chosen Men at Work - Land Down Under as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryu Hayabusa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daley Bornstein!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bornstein jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Hayabusa doesn't manage to clinch there - Bornstein circles away.
Hayabusa connects with a solid leg kick.
Bornstein throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bornstein throws a hook but Hayabusa blocks it.
A left and a right from Hayabusa both land. Nice combination.


It looks like Daley Bornstein has been cut.
Bornstein uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hayabusa.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hayabusa attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Hayabusa takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Bornstein throws a lazy right hand but Hayabusa sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Hayabusa misses with the combination.
Bornstein works Hayabusa's body with a nice hook.
Hayabusa looks to score with a jab to the body but Bornstein is just out of range.
A swing and a miss from Bornstein.
Hayabusa wants to clinch up but Bornstein keeps it at a distance.
Hayabusa takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Bornstein connects with a good right hand that stumbles Hayabusa. Hayabusa circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Bornstein scores with a body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bornstein shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Hayabusa eats them both and turns towards Bornstein to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Bornstein cracks Hayabusa with a right hand to the side of the head.
Bornstein just misses with a punch to the body.
Hayabusa does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Hayabusa ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Hayabusa tries to clinch but Bornstein moves out of range.
Hayabusa bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Bornstein's head.
Bornstein keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hayabusa darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That has opened up Daley Bornstein's cut even more.
Bornstein looks to land a right hand but Hayabusa moved out of range.
Hayabusa misses the shot to the body.
Bornstein pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Bornstein throws a lazy right hand but Hayabusa sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Bornstein lands a nice looking body shot.
Hayabusa tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Bornstein manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bornstein throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bornstein throws a jab when Hayabusa was well out of range.
Bornstein slips a jab from Hayabusa.
Hayabusa takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Hayabusa keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A slapping leg kick lands for Bornstein.
Bornstein throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Bornstein on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
A jab from Bornstein misses.
Bornstein misses with a double jab
and Hayabusa cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Bornstein scores with a hook.
Hayabusa lands with a right hand.


The cut above Daley Bornstein's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bornstein moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Bornstein misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hayabusa misses with a low kick as Bornstein jumps back.
Bornstein scores with a body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ryu Hayabusa will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Daley Bornstein's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Bornstein changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Hayabusa blocks a low kick nicely.
Hayabusa misses with a jab, cross combination.

Bornstein scores with a crisp jab that stopped Hayabusa in his tracks.

Nice defenses there by Hayabusa.
Bornstein cracks Hayabusa with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bornstein. Hayabusa does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bornstein throws a jab when Hayabusa was well out of range.
Hayabusa ducks under a wild hook from Bornstein.
Bornstein misses with an uppercut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bornstein connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Hayabusa looks to land a left hand but Bornstein moved out of range nicely.

Hayabusa doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Daley Bornstein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bornstein fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hayabusa takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Hayabusa connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Bornstein momentarily.
Hayabusa takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Bornstein connects with a jab.
Bornstein connects with a body shot that sends Hayabusa's belly button to the back.
Daley Bornstein seems to be getting the better of the standup.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters circling - Hayabusa throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Bornstein moves away from the strike by Hayabusa.
Bornstein scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Bornstein throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Hayabusa catches Bornstein napping and connects with a fantastic 3 punch combination that sends Bornstein crashing to the mat! He's still conscious but he's all over the place - can he beat the count?!? 4,5,6,7,8...9...10! He didn't make it back to his feet! Hayabusa raises both arms skywards and takes in the roar from the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Ryu Hayabusa!
