Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ba Lil I (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cole Tessier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ba Lil I!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

13 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Cole Tessier!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tessier fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Tessier lands with a right hand.
Lil I lands an overhand right.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lil I.
A shot to the liver by Lil I. Beautiful body shot.
Tessier throws a series of punches but Lil I moves out of range.
Lil I keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Horrible takedown by Lil I or perhaps it was just good defense by Tessier which made him look bad.
Lil I tries for a takedown but Tessier circles away easily
letting Tessier counter with a right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ba Lil I. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tessier throws a low kick, looking for Lil I's leg but Lil I calmly moves out of range.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tessier looks to score with a jab to the body but Lil I is just out of range.
Lil I tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Tessier wants to clinch up but Lil I keeps it at a distance.
Lil I fails with a takedown attempt.
Nice shot lands for Tessier.
Lil I throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tessier's waist but Tessier gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lil I off to one side.
Tessier misses with a series of wild punches.
A head kick misses from Lil I.
Tessier throws a looping overhand right but Lil I ducks down to avoid it.
Tessier on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Lil I. Lil I obviously looking to wear him down.
Tessier throws a nice looking combination but Lil I bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Lil I doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Tessier counters with a one-two to the body.

Tessier swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Lil I decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Tessier's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lil I lands a couple of elbows.
Lil I trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Lil I throws a big right hand that misses.
Lil I pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tessier is keeping the position for now.

Tessier prevents Lil I from moving into mount.

Tessier avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Lil I.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tessier is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Lil I jumps into side control!
Lil I misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Tessier avoids the body shot from Lil I.
Tessier lands with a shot to the body.
Tessier tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Lil I attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Lil I closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Tessier quickly recovers to half guard.
Lil I is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tessier is just riding it out for now. Lil I eventually gives up the hold.
Tessier tries to roll over but Lil I keeps him under control.

Lil I is looking to advance position but Tessier won't allow it.
Tessier wants to get back to his feet.
Lil I seems to be looking for submissions.
Lil I is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tessier is just riding it out for now. Lil I eventually gives up the hold.

Tessier tries to get to full guard but Lil I has control of the leg.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Ba Lil I seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lil I misses with a body shot.
Lil I throws a low kick but Tessier moves out of range easily.
Lil I lands with a hook. Tessier tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Lil I takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Lil I shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lil I avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lil I looks to land a right hand but Tessier moved out of range.
Tessier clinches.
Lil I successfully pulls guard.
Lil I is trying to control the position but Tessier postures up.
Tessier tries to stand but Lil I is controlling from the bottom.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Tessier takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Lil I thows a body shot but no joy.
Lil I closes the distance and clinches up with Tessier, looking for a takedown. Lil I pushes Tessier against the cage but Tessier circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Lil I scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Lil I throws a leg kick but Tessier moved away.
Cole Tessier seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Tessier throws a hook but Lil I avoids it easily.
Tessier throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
A telegraphed right hand from Lil I misses the target.
Lil I just misses with a punch to the body.
Lil I throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Tessier looks to throw the jab but Lil I is out of range.

Cole Tessier is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lil I throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Lil I looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tessier is fending him off so far but Lil I persists. Nope, Tessier circles away and we're back to standing.

Lil I throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Tessier tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Lil I is in Tessier's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lil I throws a strike but Tessier rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Tessier has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Lil I is proving hard to escape from.

Lil I looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Tessier passes into half guard.
Tessier tries to stand but can't do so whilst Lil I controls his leg.
Cole Tessier has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Tessier is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Lil I manages to get to full guard.
Lil I looking to control but Tessier passes into half guard.
Ba Lil I overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Tessier tries to stand and escape but Lil I is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lil I is doing well to control the position and prevent Tessier from advancing to side control.
Lil I misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Ba Lil I is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Tessier wants to get back to his feet.
Tessier blocks the strikes from Lil I.

I would just about give that final round to Cole Tessier.

Ba Lil I decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
