Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clay Mercer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dimitri De Wilde!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mercer jabs De Wilde to the body, keeping him at a distance.
De Wilde scores with a nice head shot.
It looks like Clay Mercer has been cut.
De Wilde scores with a jab.
De Wilde misses with a straight right.
Mercer misses with a head kick.
Mercer throws a head kick but De Wilde moves out of range.
De Wilde fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mercer manages to avoid it.
Mercer connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
It looks like Dimitri De Wilde has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mercer works the jab nicely.
Mercer is looking to slow De Wilde down with leg kicks.
Mercer throws a hook but De Wilde blocks it.
De Wilde lands a nice leg kick that just misses Mercer's sensitive parts.
Mercer lands a nice shot to the body.
Mercer avoids the body shot from De Wilde.
Clay Mercer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mercer lands with a cross.
Mercer drops his hands momentarily and De Wilde takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Mercer cracks De Wilde with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends De Wilde tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Mercer pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! De Wilde is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Clay Mercer!
After winning the bout, Clay Mercer thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
