The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neck Breaker changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bango tries to avoid it but Neck Breaker manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bango to the ground. Bango escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Neck Breaker is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bango sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Neck Breaker wants to clinch

and Bango counters with a shoot takedown. Neck Breaker fights it but they end up in guard.

Bango drops back, looking for a kneebar! Neck Breaker looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Neck Breaker looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Neck Breaker!
Bango tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Neck Breaker sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Bango is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Neck Breaker looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Neck Breaker swings around for an armbar but Bango sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Neck Breaker's guard.

Bango is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bango is working for a kimura but Neck Breaker is defending it quite comfortably.

Bango is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Neck Breaker doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bango.

Bango is working for a submission of some sort.

Bango is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Neck Breaker still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Neck Breaker has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bango manages to get back to half guard.

Neck Breaker is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Bango is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Bango has escaped and now he's on top!

Bango drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Bango seems to have locked his on tight now - Neck Breaker screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Bango, as he picks up the win!
