Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Worrell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Conrad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Conrad has chosen Rider Part II as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Conrad!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Worrell chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Conrad looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Worrell with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Conrad is working for an americana but Worrell has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Conrad was thinking about the submission.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Worrell throws a sloppy head kick and Conrad moves out of range easily.
Conrad shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Worrell as he jumps to the side.
Conrad closes the distance and clinches up with Worrell, looking for a takedown. Conrad pushes Worrell against the cage but Worrell circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Worrell moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Conrad avoids a kick to the body.
Conrad fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Peter Worrell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Conrad.
Worrell looks for the body kick but Conrad saw that one coming.
Worrell misses with a looping right.
Worrell fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Conrad is out of range.
Conrad steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Worrell. That one must have hurt.

Worrell connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Conrad's hands.

and Conrad counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Conrad shoots in looking for a takedown but Worrell manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Conrad's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Conrad shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Worrell as he avoids it easily.

Conrad does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

and Worrell counters with a thumping low kick.
Worrell throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Worrell looks to land a left hand but Conrad moved out of range nicely.

Conrad throws a front kick aimed at Worrell's knee but Worrell avoids it well.
Conrad lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Worrell throws a wild body kick that Conrad sees coming a mile off.
Worrell keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Conrad has a takedown stuffed.
Conrad pivots, looking for a leg kick but Worrell is out of range and Conrad settles back down.

Worrell thows a body kick. Conrad tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Conrad is breathing heavily.
Worrell lands a head shot.
A slapping body kick lands there for Worrell.
Worrell swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Conrad.
Worrell lets loose with a powerful body kick. Conrad will feel that in the morning.

Conrad throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Worrell uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Conrad.

Worrell throws a hook to the side of Conrad's head but Conrad sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Conrad gets tackled into the cage by Worrell. Worrell maintains the clinch.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

It looks like Jack Conrad has been cut.
Conrad blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Conrad is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Worrell gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Conrad is trying hard to land a takedown here. Worrell sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Horrible takedown by Conrad or perhaps it was just good defense by Worrell which made him look bad.
Crunch! Worrell slams his shin into Conrad's torso.
Worrell bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Conrad's head.

Both fighters circling a little - Worrell finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Worrell throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Worrell lands a nice leg kick that just misses Conrad's sensitive parts.

Conrad is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Worrell pushes Conrad back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Conrad is working for takedown but Worrell is calmly controlling the position for now.
Peter Worrell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Conrad.

Worrell throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Conrads head.

Conrad has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Worrell.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Worrell's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Conrad is rocked!

Worrell pushes Conrad back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Conrad is still on wobbly legs! Can Worrell finish him?
Worrell is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Worrell throws a big uppercut that drops Conrad! More strikes from Worrell and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Conrad lies dazed against the cage as Worrell celebrates with his cornermen!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:14 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Peter Worrell!
After winning the bout, Peter Worrell thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
