Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Will Rook!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Andrew Berry and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rook tries to clinch up.
Silva on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Rook throws a low kick, looking for Silva's leg but Silva calmly moves out of range.
Will Rook seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rook throws a head kick that half lands.
Silva throws an overhand right that lands on Rook's shoulder, as Rook tries to avoid the shot.
Rook misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rook looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Rook lands a right hook to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rook scores with a sloppy right hand. Silva should have avoided that one.
Rook tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Rook moves into the clinch.
Silva goes for a takedown attempt but Rook pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Rook tries to clinch there but Silva circles away.
Silva thuds a left hand into Rook's body.
A bone on bone clash there as Rook blocks the leg kick.
Rook misses with a body kick.
Rook misses with a body shot
and Silva counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Rook scores with a shot to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rook ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Silva moves away.
Rook tried to score with a low kick but Silva checks it.
Rook throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Rook throws a head kick but Silva moves out of range.
Rook wants to clinch.
Silva lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Rook just misses with a punch to the body.
Silva just misses with a punch to the body.
Rook looks to score with a jab to the body but Silva is just out of range.
Rook takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Silva scores with a punch to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Silva throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Rook tumbling to the canvas!


Rook is rocked!
Silva works over Rook with some ground and pound from guard.
Rook is still in real trouble! Can Silva finish him?
Silva arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Rook's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Reginaldo Silva!
Reginaldo Silva decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
