Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Placentino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Placentino comes to the cage accompanied by donGURALesko - Mogliśmy wszystko. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Steve Placentino!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dan Miller!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Sam Margolis and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Miller has managed to clinch.
Miller misses with the head strike.
Miller misses with a hook from the clinch.
Placentino lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Placentino wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Miller has him pressed against the cage.
Miller throws a punch but it's blocked by Placentino.

Placentino pulls Miller into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Miller trying to control but Placentino is working from the bottom.
Miller throws a big right hand that misses.
Placentino wants to get back to his feet but Miller is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Miller wants to control from the top but Placentino keeps moving.

Steve Placentino has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

and Miller counters with a takedown into side control.

Placentino takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Placentino is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Placentino is looking for a sweep. Miller is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Miller takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Miller slips a nice elbow through Placentino's hands, connecting with Placentino's forehead.
Miller thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Placentino's head.
Miller is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Placentino is staying active underneath Miller, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Dan Miller wasn't active enough on the ground.
Miller swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Dan Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Placentino counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Miller closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Placentino quickly recovers to half guard.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Miller lands a nice short elbow.

Miller seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Placentino is staying active underneath Miller, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Miller creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Placentino drops down looking for an ankle pick but Miller pulls his leg out and moves away.
Placentino throws a hook to the side of Miller's head but Miller sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Miller tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Placentino wants to get back to striking at distance but Miller won't allow it.

Miller is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Placentino can't fight it off and eventually Miller manages to take the fight to the floor. Placentino looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Miller got a little sloppy there for a moment and Placentino has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Miller has managed to get both his arms back between Placentino's legs - danger averted.

Miller avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dan Miller showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Placentino jabs Miller right on the nose. Miller blinks but takes it well.
Miller lands a leg kick that knocks Placentino off balance momentarily.
Dan Miller is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Placentino gets tackled into the cage by Miller. Miller maintains the clinch.
Miller swings away with an uppercut that misses.
A nice right hand lands inside from Miller.
Miller throws a punch but it's blocked by Placentino.

Dan Miller seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Miller is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Placentino tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Miller just stands there and leans against the cage.
Come on Miller - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Miller lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Placentino backwards.

Miller pushes Placentino back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Miller has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Miller throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Placentinos head.
A body shot lands from Miller.
Miller is leaning against Placentino and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Miller lands a body punch in the clinch.

Placentino is rocked!
Miller pushes Placentino against the cage. Miller is working some dirty boxing. Miller pushes off with a quick right hook! Placentino goes down! Placentino tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Miller moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dan Miller!
Dan Miller really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Dimestar Athletics & Laundry logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
