The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bastiani decides to pull guard.
Bastiani is looking to stand up but Santos isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Santos got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bastiani has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Santos has managed to get both his arms back between Bastiani's legs - danger averted.

Bastiani's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Bastiani lands a left and a right that send Santos crashing to the mat, dazed. Bastiani thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Bastiani sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Santos's defenses. It connects perfectly with Santos's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
