Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Diego Pinha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and KO Kaelin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pinha comes into the arena with Bate Pesadão (Pregador Luo) blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Diego Pinha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, KO Kaelin!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Daniel Cesar and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pinha shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kaelin's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Pinha trying to control the position from guard on top but Kaelin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Pinha wants to pass the guard but Kaelin is keeping the position.
Pinha postures up in Kaelin's guard and throws a big left but Kaelin blocks it.
Kaelin keeping moving, preventing Pinha from controlling successfully.
Pinha working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pinha trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Pinha wants to control from the top but Kaelin keeps moving.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pinha looking to pass the guard.
Pinha throwing strikes but missing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pinha accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Pinha is looking to advance position but Kaelin has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Pinha bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pinha trying to control the position from guard on top but Kaelin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Pinha wants to pass the guard but Kaelin is keeping the position.
Pinha trying to control but Kaelin is working from the bottom.
Pinha trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Pinha wants to control from the top but Kaelin keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Diego Pinha.

Pinha closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Pinha tries for a takedown. No joy.

Pinha breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Pinha shoots in but no luck this time.
Kaelin swings for the body but Pinha moves out of range.
Pinha shoots in for a takedown but Kaelin shows good takedown defense.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Diego Pinha. That's going to take a lot out of him.
No luck for Pinha with that takedown attempt.
Diego Pinha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kaelin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kaelin wants it to stay on the feet.
Kaelin works the jab nicely.


It looks like Diego Pinha has been cut.
Kaelin throws a right and a left that both miss.
Pinha slips a jab from Kaelin.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pinha misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Pinha gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Pinha has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Kaelin clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Diego Pinha dominated that round.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Some wild striking there from Kaelin.
A decent looking cross lands there for Kaelin.
Pinha keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kaelin.
A big left from Pinha misses.
Pinha fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Nice cross by Kaelin.

Kaelin drops Pinha with a beautiful combination! Pinha stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Kaelin is looking for the KO!


Pinha is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pinha get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Pinha stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Kaelin runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). KO Kaelin!
