Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Deshawn Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Deshawn Wallace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruce Li!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Li.
Wallace closes this distance looking for a takedown but Li circles away.
Wallace dives in and grabs Li's left leg, looking for a takedown. Li pushes down on Wallace's head and hops out.
Wallace fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Deshawn Wallace. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wallace closes the distance and clinches up with Li, looking for a takedown. Wallace pushes Li against the cage but Li circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Li throws a head kick but Wallace moves out of range.
Wallace fails to land the takedown.
A head kick misses from Li.
Li throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.


It looks like Deshawn Wallace has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wallace changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Li tries to avoid it but Wallace manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Li to the ground. Li escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Deshawn Wallace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wallace fails with a takedown attempt.
Wallace shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Li but Li pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Nice takedown defense from Li. No joy for Wallace on that attempt.
Wallace looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Li is fending him off so far but Wallace persists. Nope, Li circles away and we're back to standing.
Li throws a jab but it's blocked by Wallace.
Li stuffs the takedown attempt from Wallace. Wallace gets slowly back to his feet.
A solid body kick from Li.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wallace fails with a takedown attempt.
Good leg kick by Li there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Wallace is breathing heavily.
Wallace shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Li defends it nicely.
Li throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Wallace tries to score a power double leg takedown but Li sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wallace somewhat.
Wallace blocks a low kick nicely.
Li thuds his shin into the meat of Wallace's side.
Li throws a head kick that misses.
Li attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Li scores with the left hand. Wallace knows he should have avoided that one.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Li defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Wallace.
Wallace shoots for a double leg takedown but Li sprawls well. He's pushed Wallace's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Li lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Li fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Wallace, pushing him back against the cage.
Li unloads a knee to the mid-section. Wallace lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Li displaying some good clinch control by pressing Wallace up against the cage.
Li lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Li's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
An inside leg kick from Li misses.
Li throws a low kick but Wallace avoids it.
Li is looking to chop away at Wallace's legs.
Wallace shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Li pinned against the cage. Li gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Li wants to clinch.
Li swings for the body but Wallace moves out of range.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nice takedown defense from Li. No joy for Wallace on that attempt.
Bruce Li is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Wallace.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Wallace. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Wallace tries for a takedown but Li sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Li lands a high kick!
Li is looking to slow Wallace down with leg kicks.
Li lands a leg kick that knocks Wallace off balance momentarily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Wallace is defended easily by Li.
Li throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Wallace shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Li but Li pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Wallace checks the leg kick.
Li throws a solid leg kick but Wallace takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Li.
Wallace looks for a takedown but Li sprawls well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Li.
Wallace on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Wallace swats away the attempt to clinch by Li.
Li just misses with a punch to the body.
Wallace fails with a takedown attempt.
Wallace shoots in looking for a takedown. Li tries to sprawl out of it but Wallace keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Li manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Li keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Wallace fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Li avoids it really well and circles away.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
A lazy left from Li finds it's target.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bruce Li dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Deshawn Wallace's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Wallace shoots in looking for a takedown. Li tries to sprawl out of it but Wallace keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Li manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Li has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Wallace ducks under a wild hook from Li.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Wallace is defended easily by Li.
Bruce Li seems to be getting the better of the standup.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Wallace crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Li - the referee stops the clock and Wallace gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Li. Wallace manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Li knocks Wallace out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Bruce Li!
An out of breath Bruce Li thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
