The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calzada lands a nice looking body kick.
A head kick misses from Calzada.
Postiga moves out of range of the strikes.
Postiga wants to clinch.
Postiga gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Calzada goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Calzada is looking to slow Postiga down with leg kicks.
Calzada goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
A telegraphed right hand from Postiga misses the target.
Postiga throws a hook to the side of Calzada's head but Calzada sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Postiga pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Postiga throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Calzada fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Postiga looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Postiga just misses with a punch to the body.
Calzada throws a nice inside leg kick.
Postiga fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Calzada manages to avoid it.
Perlito Calzada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Calzada scores with a jab. Postiga acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Calzada lands with a thumping leg kick.
Postiga looks winded!
The crowd cheers as Calzada lands an impressive looking overhand right. Postiga doesn't seem phased though.

Postiga is rocked!
Calzada lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Postiga up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Calzada from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Postiga's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

After the fight, Perlito Calzada was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
