The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Ramos. Ijima is looking for a sweep. Ijima prevents Ramos from improving position. Ramos working the ground and pound. Ijima is looking to regain half guard here but Ramos keeps moving and retains side control. Ramos throwing shots but missing, from side control. Ijima is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Ijima takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Ramos goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Ijima has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Ramos but great work by Ijima. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ijima lands a few punches from side control. Ramos manages to get back to half guard. Ramos cracks Ijima with a big right hand but Ijima just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Ijima on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Ramos moves into full mount! Ijima won't be happy about that! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ijima wants to hold on but Ramos pushes him away. Ijima is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Ramos is staying active. Ijima is looking to get to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A shot to the liver by Ramos. Beautiful body shot. Ijima closes the distance and clinches up with Ramos, looking for a takedown. Ijima pushes Ramos against the cage but Ramos circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Ijima steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ramos. Ijima decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Ijima perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Ramos is trying to get back to full guard. Ijima missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Mark Ramos overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Ramos is looking for a sweep. Ijima is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Ijima with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Ijima is trying to work for a kimura but Ramos is defending well.

Ijima is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ramos is just riding it out for now. Ijima eventually gives up the hold. Ramos is pressing down on Ijima's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Ramos controls Ijima momentarily but Ijima frees himself. Ijima advances to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ijima thows a huge punch but Ramos dodges it nicely.
Ramos is staying active underneath Ijima, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Ijima frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Ijima working Ramos over with strikes here. Ijima lands a big shot there that rocks Ramos but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ramos is trying desperately to improve position. Ramos taking shots to the head. Ramos is in all sorts of trouble here.

It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ramos defends it well. Ijima is looking to take a break and control but Ramos is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ramos regains full guard. Nicely done. Ramos tries to land a sweep but no joy. Ijima throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ramos works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Ijima keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Ramos's head. Ijima won't allow Ramos to sweep him here. Ramos looking to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ijima chips away with some ground and pound. Ijima works a leg free and moves into half guard. Ijima moves into full mount! Ramos won't be happy about that! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ramos can't escape the position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ijima is landing with some decent strikes but Ramos is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Ramos bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Ijima bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ramos's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ichi Ijima showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Ijima tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ramos swivels and escapes. Ijima shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ramos as he avoids it easily. Ramos will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ramos ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ijima moves away. Ramos fails to land with a series of punches.
Ramos scores with a crisp jab that stopped Ijima in his tracks. Ramos fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ijima manages to avoid it. A jab lands there for Ramos. Horrible takedown by Ramos or perhaps it was just good defense by Ijima which made him look bad. Ramos fails with a takedown attempt. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Ramos is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ramos with a nice cross. Ramos shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Ijima eats them both and turns towards Ramos to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Ramos takes a swing at Ijima's ribcage but misses. Ijima fails with a takedown attempt. Mark Ramos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ichi Ijima. Ijima dives in and grabs Ramos's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ramos pushes down on Ijima's head and hops out. Ijima takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Ramos is desperately trying to improve his position but Ijima has a good base and remains in mount. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ijima lands a nice shot to the head. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ijima landing strikes from the mount and Ramos is in trouble! Ijima lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Ijima putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
