The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calculus throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Calculus takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
A bone on bone clash there as Freeman blocks the leg kick.
Calculus takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Calculus throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Freeman scores with a shot to the body.
Freeman throws a hook to the side of Calculus's head but Calculus sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Calculus wants to slow Freeman down by chopping away at his legs.
Freeman connects with a good right hand that stumbles Calculus. Calculus circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Freeman pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Calculus fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Freeman has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Calculus looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Calculus tries to work over Freeman's front leg with a kick but Freeman checks it.
Freeman thuds his right hand into Calculus's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Calculus throws a right hand that misses
and Freeman counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Freeman throws a body punch but Calculus moves out of range.
A nice inside leg kick there by Calculus. That's going to slow Freeman down.
Calculus lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Freeman circles away quickly and effectively.
Calculus misses with a double jab
and Freeman counters with a low kick, right behind Calculus 's knee.
Freeman ducks under a wild hook from Calculus.
Calculus throws a right and a left that Freeman avoids nicely.
Freeman getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Freeman missing with a left hand there. Calculus was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

The crowd cheers as Freeman lands an impressive looking overhand right. Calculus doesn't seem phased though.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Freeman, as that shot connected.

Calculus throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Calculus doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Calculus smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Freeman takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Calculus keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Freeman.
Freeman takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
A slow jab from Calculus misses its intended target.
Freeman loads up on a big right hand but Calculus slips the punch.
Freeman jabbing away but nothing is landing.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Calculus has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Freeman finds it's way round the side to connect with Calculus's head.
Calculus is rocked!
Calculus walks straight into a right hand from Freeman - that's dropped him! Freeman jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Calculus from any more punishment! Calculus complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Gordon Freeman!
