Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rocket feints and as Basheer raises his hands in defense, Rocket changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Basheer looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Rocket preventing the sweep.
Basheer keeping full guard, as Rocket tries to pass.
Basheer lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rocket!
Basheer is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Rocket is in real trouble.
Rocket knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Basheer on the ground.
Basheer has the hooks in. Rocket is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Rocket trying to control the hands but Basheer won't let him.
Rocket trying to get back to his feet but Basheer is in full control for now.

Basheer is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Rocket has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Basheer has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Rocket taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Basheer doesn't care though - he's delighted!
