Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kongo Hatoky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ruffuss Passat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hatoky comes to the cage accompanied by MAMMA AFRICA!!. Passat has chosen looser by Beck as his entrance music. Kongo Hatoky has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kongo Hatoky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ruffuss Passat! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Hirohito Nitta and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hatoky has a takedown stuffed. Hatoky shoots in for a double leg but Passat sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Hatoky tries to close the distance and clinch up but Passat swats him away and circles back towards the center. Hatoky shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Passat as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kongo Hatoky. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hatoky gets the takedown into side control. Passat trying to remain calm as Hatoky controls from the top position. Passat wants to control but Hatoky postures up. Passat tries to get back to half guard but can't. Hatoky trying to control the action but Passat is working from the bottom. Passat keeping his opponent close. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hatoky working the ground and pound from side control. Passat is not content to let Hatoky control the position. You can see the frustration on Passat's face as Hatoky controls the position. Passat really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hatoky. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hatoky tries for a kimura but Passat is defending well. Passat tries to get back to half guard but can't. Hatoky trying to control the action but Passat is working from the bottom. Passat is looking to regain half guard here but Hatoky keeps moving and retains side control. Passat is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Passat struggling a bit here. Hatoky is breathing heavily.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Hatoky shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Passat as he avoids it easily. Passat fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Passat fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hatoky shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Passat is trying to escape the mount.

Hatoky pulls Passat in close to prevent any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kongo Hatoky dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Hatoky with a poor takedown and Passat counters with a shoot takedown. Hatoky fights it but they end up in guard. Hatoky manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Passat has his takedown stuffed and Hatoky decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Passat's guard. Passat trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Hatoky is in close to Passat's body, working some short punches and elbows. Hatoky slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hatoky with a nice head shot there. Hatoky not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Hatoky trying to control the position from guard on top but Passat is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hatoky sitting in guard, not really doing much. Hatoky stands and throws Passat's legs to the side, diving into side control. Hatoky has knee on belly and moves into mount. Hatoky looking to control and managing it successfully. Hatoky with a couple of short strikes. Hatoky controlling the position easily from mount. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hatoky cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kongo Hatoky dominated that second round. That's time! Hatoky's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Hatoky decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Hatoky is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are battling for position here. Passat manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Hatoky not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Hatoky landing with the ground and pound. Hatoky pushes down on Passat's leg and manages to get into half guard. Hatoky blocks the strikes from Passat.
Kongo Hatoky overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hatoky wants to lay and pray for a moment but Passat keeps working. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Passat wants to control but Hatoky is keeping busy.
Hatoky takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Passat is not content to let Hatoky control the position. Hatoky throwing shots but Passat is blocking nicely. Passat is looking for a sweep. Hatoky is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Hatoky with a poor takedown and Passat makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Hatoky with a poor takedown and Passat moves into the clinch. Hatoky stops a takedown attempt from Passat.
Passat tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hatoky smiles and moves away.

and Passat counters with a nice double leg into guard. Hatoky is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Hatoky trying to control the pace. The fighters are battling for position here. Passat manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Passat doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Hatoky is stalling in the full guard. Passat striking off his back but it's not causing Hatoky any problems.

Hatoky tries to free his leg and advance position but Passat is retaining full guard. Passat not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

He's pushed Hatoky's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kongo Hatoky. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hatoky wants to clinch. Hatoky is looking to clinch but Passat is avoiding it.

Hatoky shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Passat pinned against the cage. Passat gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Hatoky fails with an attempt to clinch.
Passat drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hatoky is letting Passat control him for a moment. Passat trying to control the position but Hatoky is working away.
And that's the end of the fight! Ruffuss Passat comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Hatoky has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
