Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Armas Paisti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that John Johnson was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Armas Paisti! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, John Johnson! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Colin Fray and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson swings for the body but Paisti moves out of range.

It looks like John Johnson has been cut. Johnson has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Johnson there as he acknowledges the shot. Paisti lands with a nice combination. Johnson backs away looking to recover. Johnson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Paisti sprawls well. Paisti wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet. Johnson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Paisti circles away. A kick lands to the mid section there for Paisti. Paisti lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Paisti moves into range and clinches up with Johnson. Paisti scores with a shoulder strike. Paisti gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Johnson.
Armas Paisti has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Johnson. Paisti connects with a knee to the head.
Paisti dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Paisti pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paisti has managed to clinch.
Johnson has had enough of the clinch but Paisti keeps him there for the moment. Johnson tries to stall but Paisti uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Paisti's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Paisti lands a body shot. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Paisti creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Johnson's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Paisti throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Johnsons head. Paisti breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Johnson looks to land a left hand but Paisti moved out of range nicely. Paisti throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
That has opened up John Johnson's cut even more. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Johnson swings for the body but Paisti moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A nice combination there by Paisti.
Johnson is rocked! Paisti clinches. Johnson is still on wobbly legs! Can Paisti finish him? Paisti taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Johnson seems to have recovered his senses. Johnson is trying to break the clinch but Paisti is controlling him. Paisti lands a knee to the head.

The cut above John Johnson's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Johnson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Paisti cracks Johnson with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Paisti scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Johnson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Paisti's waist but Paisti gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Johnson off to one side.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Paisti gets a clinch. Paisti's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Paisti lands a nice looking kick to the body. Johnson takes a step back to recover. Paisti keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Paisti takes the fight into the clinch. Paisti manages to break the clinch.
Armas Paisti is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The fight moves into the clinch position. Johnson wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Johnson tries to circle away but Paisti has him pinned against the cage. Johnson being controlled against the cage. Paisti lands a nice knee to the body. Johnson looks winded! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Paisti's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Paisti. Johnson shrugs it off though. Paisti goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Paisti sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Johnson to the ground! Paisti dives into full mount looking to finish!
John Johnson's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at John Johnson's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Armas Paisti! Armas Paisti really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Hardcore Nutrition logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
