Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Andrei Kruzov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Farkle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Andrei Kruzov has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andrei Kruzov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tim Farkle!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Farkle shoots in looking for a takedown. Kruzov tries to sprawl out of it but Farkle keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kruzov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Farkle tries to keep at a distance but Kruzov has taken the fight into the clinch.
Farkle is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Farkle misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Kruzov.
Kruzov tries to break the clinch but Farkle is controlling the position.
Kruzov blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Kruzov connects with a knee to the head.
Kruzov trying to stall but Farkle improves his position.

Kruzov looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Farkle will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Kruzov up against the cage.

Farkle turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Farkle is looking to take a break and control but Kruzov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Farkle stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Farkle drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Kruzov wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Farkle is now in half guard.
Kruzov wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Farkle stalling.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Farkle is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Kruzov pushes Farkle off but Farkle dives into side control.
Farkle creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Kruzov sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Farkle is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Kruzov's shoulder. That is not cool.

Farkle thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Farkle tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Farkle controls the position.

Farkle wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kruzov, who protects the arm well.
The referee asks Farkle politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Farkle prefers to stall for the moment though.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Farkle wants to stand but Kruzov has his arm trapped.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tim Farkle dominated that round.

Kruzov is looking to clinch but Farkle is avoiding it.
Kruzov lands with a thumping leg kick.

Farkle throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kruzov was covering up waiting for the punch and Farkle finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Farkle throws a big elbow that misses.

Farkle is trying to control the action in half guard but Kruzov is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Tim Farkle wasn't active enough on the ground.

Farkle swats away the attempt to clinch by Kruzov.
Farkle dives in and grabs Kruzov's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kruzov pushes down on Farkle's head and hops out.

Kruzov is pressed up against the cage. Farkle has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kruzov down to the mat. Kruzov avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Kruzov breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kruzov wants to clinch up but Farkle keeps it at a distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Farkle looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

That was a close second round but I would say that Andrei Kruzov will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Farkle changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kruzov tries to avoid it but Farkle manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kruzov to the ground. Kruzov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Farkle shoots in and drives through. Kruzov sprawls well.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kruzov.
Kruzov fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Farkle tries to clinch there but Kruzov circles away.
Farkle takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Farkle shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Farkle was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The referee asks Farkle politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Farkle prefers to stall for the moment though.

Farkle decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Kruzov connects with a high kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Farkle is looking to clinch.
Kruzov misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Farkle tries to close the distance and clinch but Kruzov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Farkle fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kruzov sprawls well initially but Farkle persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Farkle wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kruzov keeps working.
Kruzov pushes Farkle off looking to stand but Farkle dives back in and keeps control.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Tim Farkle hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Farkle drives through with a takedown into Kruzov's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
