Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Seu Gil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaret Caston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Seu Gil! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jaret Caston! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Paulo Santos and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Caston misses with a hook
and Gil cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Caston misses with a looping right. Gil wants to clinch. Gil bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Gil has his takedown stuffed so Caston counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Caston postures up in Gil's guard and throws a big left but Gil blocks it. Caston scoring with punches to the head and body. Caston content to stall in guard here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Gil looking to control but Caston passes into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gil slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Gil trying to keep a closed guard but Caston is proving a slippery customer.
Caston stands up over Gil, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Gil controls Caston momentarily but Caston frees himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Caston preventing the sweep. Gil trying to keep a closed guard but Caston is proving a slippery customer.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Seu Gil. Gil fails with the takedown and Caston counters with a nice double leg into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Caston not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Caston is looking to take a break and control but Gil is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Caston lands strikes from half guard. Caston winds up and cracks Gil with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Caston sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Gil defending well though. Gil misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Caston throwing shots but Gil is blocking nicely. Caston is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Gil has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Caston is working away from the top position though. Caston passes into side control, despite Gil's attempt to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Caston working the ground and pound. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Caston has control of an arm but Gil manages to advance to Caston's back! Caston tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Gil throws a sloppy strike and Caston uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Caston has ended up in Gil's guard.
Caston lands a couple of digs. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Caston with a nice head shot there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jaret Caston dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Caston bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Caston grinds an elbow into Gil's temple. Caston cracks Gil with a big elbow. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Caston landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Gil is rocked! Caston scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Gil is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Caston can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jaret Caston!
