Storm has chosen ThunderStruck as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Jim Storm acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ned Alonso!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jim Storm!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Damien Edna and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alonso changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Storm looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Alonso works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Alonso knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Storm on the ground.
Storm manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Alonso slips a nice elbow through Storm's hands, connecting with Storm's forehead.

Alonso seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Storm does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Alonso winds up and cracks Storm with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Storm is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Alonso pulls his head out easily.
Alonso looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Storm with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Alonso tries to pass the half guard into mount. Storm knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Storm isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Alonso stacks Storm on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Alonso!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Alonso wants to lay and pray for a moment but Storm keeps working.

Alonso postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Storm in real trouble here! The ref calls for Storm to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
