Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Voitto Putkimies! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wu Tang Fu! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Damien Edna and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fu tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Fu throws a head kick that misses. Fu misses with a kick to the body.
Fu misses with a low kick. Fu connects with an inside leg kick. Fu throws a leg kick that is checked and Putkimies moves into the clinch. Fu jumps guard but Putkimies turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Putkimies managing to block the knees to the body from Fu.
Fu misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Putkimies.
Fu tries a knee to the head but Putkimies blocks it.
Putkimies on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Putkimies has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Fu. Fu trying to land knees to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Fu throwing strikes from guard but Putkimies blocks nicely. Putkimies on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Putkimies tries to get out of the position. Putkimies is striking from the bottom but Fu uses the opportunity to pass into half guard. Putkimies is refusing to be controlled, as Fu sits in half guard. Putkimies knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fu on the ground. Putkimies is trying to maintain the position but Fu is very close to passing his half guard. Fu wants to lay and pray for a moment but Putkimies keeps working. Putkimies won't allow Fu to pass to mount.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Fu throws a leg kick that is checked and Putkimies holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Putkimies avoiding damage as Fu throws knees to the body.

Putkimies's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Fu pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Fu throws a leg kick that is checked and Putkimies holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Fu tries to land knees in the clinch but Putkimies avoids the damage to the body. Fu misses with a knee strike.
Putkimies manages to break the clinch.
Fu misses with a shot to the body and Putkimies counters into the clinch. Nicely done. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Putkimies just leaning against Fu, taking a breather. Fu misses with a knee strike.
Putkimies breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Fu misses with a head kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A low kick from Fu misses and Putkimies decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Fu's guard. Putkimies looking to pass the guard. Putkimies is working hard here to advance position. Fu pulls Putkimies in close to his closed guard and prevents Putkimies from doing any damage or advancing position. Fu keeping moving, preventing Putkimies from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fu manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Fu trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fu avoids the attempt from Putkimies to control. Fu looking to control but Putkimies is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Fu is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Fu extends the arm and Putkimies is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Wu Tang Fu! A relieved looking Wu Tang Fu thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
