The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takiyama fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Hill is out of range.
Hill looks to score with a jab to the body but Takiyama is just out of range.
Takiyama slips a straight right by Hill.
Takiyama shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hill as he avoids it easily.
Hill feints and then cracks Takiyama's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Takiyama down.
Takiyama fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hill avoids it really well and circles away.
Hill misses with a low kick.
Hill lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Hill misses with a body shot
and Takiyama counters with a straight right hand.
Takiyama shoots in but Hill avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yamamoto Takiyama. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Takiyama gets a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hill tries to roll over but Takiyama keeps him under control.

Hill trying to control but Takiyama postures up.
Hill is looking for a sweep. Takiyama is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Hill is defending against the submission attempts here by Takiyama.
Hill has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Takiyama is working away from the top position though.
Hill holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Takiyama seems to be looking for submissions.
Hill is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Takiyama is trying for a kimura here. Hill looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Takiyama wins by kimura!
