Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Macadam Baird (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seifer Almasy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Seifer Almasy is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Seifer Almasy!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Almasy wants to clinch up but Baird keeps it at a distance.

Almasy rushes Baird and presses him up against the cage.
Almasy misses with a knee strike.
Baird prevents a body shot from Almasy.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Baird on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Baird misses with a hook to the ribs.
Baird lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Almasy backwards.
Almasy missing with knees to the body.
Almasy using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Baird has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Baird turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Baird manages to end up in side control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Almasy tries to bench press Baird off him but Baird keeps the position.

Baird is trying to get an arm triangle but Almasy is defending well.
Baird tries to move to mount but Almasy blocks the move with his legs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Baird in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Baird cracks Almasy with a big right hand but Almasy just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Baird postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Baird misses with the ground and pound.
Almasy can't do much from the bottom here.
Almasy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Baird. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Almasy is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Baird is staying active.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Baird is working to tighten is grip on Almasy's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Almasy has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Baird is really squeezing tight and eventually Almasy passes out! Baird breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
