Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pepper James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Beniot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beniot has chosen Our Lady in Peace-Whatever as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pepper James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Beniot! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James ducks under a wild hook from Beniot. Beniot darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Beniot thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed James's head. Beniot scoring with strikes to the body and head. Nice strikes from Beniot there. Beniot has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Beniot thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. James avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Beniot. Beniot is nestled in close to James, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Beniot thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Beniot trying to control the action but James is working from the bottom. James is trying to stand back up but Beniot is controlling him
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Beniot throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beniot scores with a couple of good hammerfists. James is trying to stand back up but Beniot is controlling him
James is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Beniot scores with a couple of nice shots. Beniot drops an elbow to the side of James's head. Beniot missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Beniot thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. James on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. James wants to stand back up but Beniot manages to pass into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Beniot connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused James some visible discomfort.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! James taking a bit of punishment here - Beniot scoring with strikes. Beniot is trying to get an arm triangle but James is defending well. Beniot is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. James knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Beniot wants to lay and pray for a moment but James keeps working. Beniot looking to punish the body of his opponent here but James is avoiding damage well.
Beniot swings around for an armbar but James sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Beniot's guard. James has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Beniot has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. James doesn't defend quickly enough and Beniot has managed to lock this one up! Can James escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Beniot on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Chris Beniot! A relieved looking Chris Beniot thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
