Velasquez has chosen UFC - Face the Pain as his entrance music. Jerry Mouse is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cain Velasquez!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Dmitry Maklakov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Velasquez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Mouse counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Mouse.
Mouse jumps guard but Velasquez turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Velasquez has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Mouse clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Mouse tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Mouse holds on, trying desperately to control.
Mouse is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Velasquez looking to finish Mouse with some ground and pound. This is bad for Mouse!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mouse is in a horrible position here. Velasquez smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Velasquez trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Mouse keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Velasquez scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Mouse?
Mouse is wriggling around trying to escape.
The referee warns Mouse that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Velasquez cracks Mouse with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Velasquez with a couple of short strikes.
Velasquez lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Mouse is rocked!
Velasquez unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Mouse wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Velasquez celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cain Velasquez!
