Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Arthur Erickson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, George Bran! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Erickson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Erickson just misses with a punch to the body.
Erickson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bran avoids it really well and circles away. Erickson moves in looking to clinch but Bran pushes him off. Erickson wants to clinch but Bran slips to the side and Bran counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Erickson tries for a takedown but Bran sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Arthur Erickson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Erickson tries to clinch there but Bran circles away.
Erickson throws a sloppy head kick and Bran moves out of range easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bran blocks a head kick by Erickson.
Bran slaps away a takedown attempt from Erickson, before circling back to the center of the mat. Erickson throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Erickson shoots in but no luck this time. Erickson closes the distance and clinches up with Bran, looking for a takedown. Erickson pushes Bran against the cage but Bran circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Erickson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Erickson is breathing heavily. Erickson throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Nice takedown defense from Bran. No joy for Erickson on that attempt. George Bran is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Erickson darts in trying to clinch and Bran counters with a series of strikes. Erickson will be more careful next time no doubt. Erickson tries to close the distance and clinch but Bran swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Erickson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bran's waist but Bran gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Erickson off to one side. Erickson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bran sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Erickson somewhat. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Erickson looks to clinch and Bran counters with a crisp one two that drops Erickson! Bran thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Erickson to his feet! Erickson is in big trouble!
Erickson is rocked! Erickson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Bran counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Erickson badly! He tries to strike back but Bran puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Erickson out cold! Oh man, Erickson will never hear the end of this one!
