And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mark Piltz!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Donnell lands with a thumping leg kick.
Piltz slips a jab from O Donnell.
O Donnell buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Piltz scores with a spinning back kick!

O Donnell clobbers Piltz with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Piltz tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
O Donnell dodges the punch combination from Piltz.
O Donnell walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Piltz checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Piltz throws out a loose jab but O Donnell uses good head movement to avoid it.

Piltz moves forwards but O Donnell connects with a nice, crisp jab.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Piltz's hands are dropping dangerously low here and O Donnell connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Piltz scrambles back to his feet.
O Donnell does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
O Donnell tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Piltz was well out of range. Poor timing from O Donnell.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Piltz uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by O Donnell.

Piltz is fighting to break O Donnell's control of his arms but O Donnell is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Piltz has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Piltz accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

O Donnell lands a nice hook to Piltz's body. Piltz takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Piltz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around O Donnell's waist but O Donnell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Piltz off to one side.
Piltz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Piltz takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

O Donnell tries to work over Piltz's front leg with a kick but Piltz checks it.
O Donnell takes a swing at Piltz's ribcage but misses.
O Donnell digs a good hook to Piltz's body.

Piltz shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says O Donnell as he avoids it easily.
The fighters circle momentarily. O Donnell darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Piltz wants to clinch.
O Donnell tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Piltz takes a kick to the side of the head.
O Donnell throws a jab but it's blocked by Piltz.

and O Donnell connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Mark Piltz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Piltz throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Piltz takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
O Donnell lands a jab to Piltz's midsection.

Some bone on bone action there as Piltz checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Piltz throws a nice looking combination but O Donnell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
O Donnell attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Piltz's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

O Donnell fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
O Donnell thuds his right hand into Piltz's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
A lazy left from O Donnell finds it's target.
O Donnell throws a shot to the body.
O Donnell throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A kick lands to the mid section there for O Donnell.
Piltz has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from O Donnell finds it's way round the side to connect with Piltz's head.

Myles O Donnell showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for O Donnell, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
