Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Akira Azuma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikolai Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peterson has chosen Blind Eye Halo as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Akira Azuma!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nikolai Peterson !
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Radbod Blank and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Azuma ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Azuma throws a poor cross that misses
and Peterson counters with a nice uppercut.
Azuma takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Peterson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
Azuma lands with a light punch inside.
Azuma tries to throw a body punch but Peterson avoids it by throwing Azuma back against the ropes.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Peterson .
Peterson is looking to control Azuma's arms but Azuma gets an underhook and turns him. Now Peterson has his back to the ropes.
Peterson throws a head punch that misses.

Azuma wants the takedown. Peterson is fighting it off but Azuma persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Peterson 's guard against the ropes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Peterson looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Azuma passes into side control.
Azuma works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Azuma scoring with punches from side control.
Peterson is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Azuma's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Azuma looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Peterson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Peterson wants to control but Azuma is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Peterson is looking for a sweep. Azuma is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Peterson has hold of Azuma's hands but Azuma slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Azuma slips a nice elbow through Peterson 's hands, connecting with Peterson 's forehead.
Azuma scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Azuma connects with a nice short shot to Peterson 's temple.
Azuma is trying to control the action in half guard but Peterson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Azuma slips a nice elbow through Peterson 's hands, connecting with Peterson 's forehead.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Azuma frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Azuma looking to finish Peterson with some ground and pound. This is bad for Peterson !
Azuma lands with some strikes.
Peterson is trying to escape the mount.
Peterson taking shots to the head.
Azuma scoring with strikes but Peterson is staying in there.
Peterson is squirming around, avoiding Azuma's attempts to control the action.
Azuma landing strikes from the mount.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Azuma cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Peterson tries to hold on but Azuma postures up.
Peterson is looking to improve his position but Azuma isn't that keen on the idea.
Peterson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Azuma landing strikes from the mount.
Peterson is desperately trying to improve his position but Azuma has a good base and remains in mount.
Azuma lands a heavy elbow.


Peterson is rocked!
Peterson takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Peterson is still in real trouble! Can Azuma finish him?
Azuma postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Peterson bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Azuma and the fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Akira Azuma!
