Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Paulo Santos and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barao looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Borzuha is fending him off so far but Barao persists. Nope, Borzuha circles away and we're back to standing.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Barao.
Barao scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Borzuha gets tackled into the cage by Barao. Barao maintains the clinch.
Borzuha tightens his grip and picks Barao up, before dumping him to the ground. Barao manages to land in guard.
Borzuha is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Borzuha won't allow Barao to sweep him here.
Borzuha trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Borzuha with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Barao wants to sweep but no luck.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Borzuha stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Barao swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Borzuha has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Barao looking to hit a scissor sweep but Borzuha is one step ahead there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Borzuha connects with a couple of short punches.
Borzuha might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Borzuha wants to pass the guard but Barao is keeping the position.
Barao controls Borzuha momentarily but Borzuha frees himself.
Barao working for a triangle but Borzuha defends it easily.
Barao looks winded!
Barao has momentary wrist control but Borzuha slips an elbow through the middle.

Borzuha lands a couple of digs.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Borzuha's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Barao has momentary wrist control but Borzuha slips an elbow through the middle.
Barao is rocked!

Borzuha stands up over Barao, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Borzuha working some strikes from top position.
Borzuha gets to his feet and stands over Barao, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Barao felt that one! Borzuha unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Barao from any more punishment!
