Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rui Capote (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Roberts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rui Capote! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andrew Roberts! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yuuki Gou and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roberts avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Capote with a lazy takedown attempt and Roberts counters by clinching up. Roberts is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Capote can't fight it off and eventually Roberts manages to take the fight to the floor. Capote looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Capote is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Roberts is aware though and is defending well. Capote keeping full guard, as Roberts tries to pass. Roberts passes easily into side control. Nice work. Roberts tries to move to mount but Capote blocks the move with his legs. Capote is looking for a sweep. Roberts works to advance to full mount. Capote defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Capote avoids a series of strikes thrown by Roberts.
That's one minute gone in the round. Capote tries to get back to half guard but can't. Capote tries to hold on but Roberts postures up. Capote really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Capote wants to try and get back to his feet. Roberts is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Capote can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Roberts breaks from Capote's wrist control and lands an elbow. Capote defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Roberts. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Capote tries to get back to half guard but can't. Capote is breathing heavily. Roberts throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Roberts throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Capote wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Roberts.
Capote is in a horrible position here. Roberts smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Roberts thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Roberts is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Capote has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Roberts looking for a guillotine from mount but Capote is having none of it. Roberts looking to secure an arm triangle but Capote defends it well. Roberts working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Capote looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Roberts! Submission of the night perhaps?
