Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yurei Sakaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tyler Norton!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Ren Mimura and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakaki throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Norton smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Norton scores with a nice right hand.
Norton scores with a head kick.

Norton has Sakaki up against the cage in a clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Sakaki is fighting off a takedown attempt but Norton is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Sakaki to the mat. Sakaki regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Sakaki is trying to keep Norton in close.

Norton stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Norton lands a nice hook to Sakaki's body. Sakaki takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Norton drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Norton controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Norton sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Sakaki's guard.
Norton drops an elbow to the side of Sakaki's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Norton not doing much here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
It looks like Norton might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Norton looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Sakaki is breathing heavily.
Norton takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Norton lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.


Sakaki is rocked!
Norton working over Sakaki with some ground and pound. Sakaki looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Oh Sakaki is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Norton lands strikes from half guard.
Sakaki seems to have got his legs back now.
Norton works his way into full mount!
Norton loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Sakaki scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Norton land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Norton stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tyler Norton!
