Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jerry Grapist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donnie O Brien (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grapist comes into the arena with Know Your Enemy by Rage Against the Machine blaring out of the sound system. O Brien has chosen Rocky Road to Dublin as his entrance music. Jerry Grapist looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grapist gets caught flat footed, as O Brien shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Grapist looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
O Brien passes Grapist's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Grapist is defending against the submission attempts here by O Brien .
O Brien is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
O Brien wants to pass to mount but Grapist is defending the position.
O Brien content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Let's hope that O Brien has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's one minute gone in the round.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Grapist takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
O Brien lands a jab to the head.
Grapist keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Grapist is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Grapist with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling O Brien to score with a decent uppercut.
Grapist is rocked!
O Brien fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Grapist to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Grapist looks to clinch but O Brien throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Grapist taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

In his post fight interview, Donnie O Brien started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
