PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mikko Rourke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bull Terrier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rourke comes into the arena with Rolling Stones - Paint it black blaring out of the sound system. Terrier has chosen Closer - Nine Inch Nales as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rourke scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Terrier parries the strikes from Rourke easily there. Rourke is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Terrier to escape.
Rourke laying and praying for a moment but Terrier takes advantage and regains half guard.
Rourke trying to control the action but Terrier is working from the bottom.
Rourke missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Rourke has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Terrier looks like he's trying to stand up.

Rourke is looking to take a break and control but Terrier is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Rourke misses with a head shot. Terrier uses the momentum to regain guard.

Rourke wants to control from the top but Terrier keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Mikko Rourke just wasn't active enough.
Rourke works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Rourke has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Terrier finds it's way round the side to connect with Rourke's head.
Rourke throws a lazy right hand but Terrier sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rourke throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Terrier tries to bum rush Rourke with a series of wild strikes but Rourke uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Terrier displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rourke throws out the jab.
Terrier throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Terrier just misses with a punch to the body.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Rourke.

Terrier avoids a kick to the body.
Terrier lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Rourke backs up against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rourke misses with a hook. Terrier ducked under it nicely.
Rourke misses with a low kick.
Terrier misses with a straight right.
Terrier checks the leg kick nicely there.
Terrier walks into a jab.
Rourke scores with a nice right hand.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Terrier, as that shot connected.
Rourke avoids the body shot from Terrier.
Terrier slips a jab and a cross from Rourke.
Rourke wants to land a leg kick but Terrier is out of range.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Terrier sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Rourke lands a jab.
Terrier throws out a loose jab but Rourke uses good head movement to avoid it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bull Terrier is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Bull Terrier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rourke turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Terrier stalks Rourke and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Rourke's face. Rourke staggers backwards, shaken.

Terrier rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rourke moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Terrier walks forward, straight into a front kick from Rourke.
Terrier tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Terrier takes a swing at Rourke's ribcage but misses.
Rourke throws the kick towards the body but Terrier avoids it.
Nice defenses there by Terrier.
Rourke lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Terrier scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Bull Terrier seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

letting Rourke counter with a right hand.
Terrier throws a nice looking combination but Rourke bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

and Rourke counters with an outside leg kick.
Rourke slips under a jab.
Terrier checks a leg kick nicely.
Rourke steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Terrier.
Terrier jabs Rourke right on the nose. Rourke blinks but takes it well.
A jab lands there for Terrier.
Rourke on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rourke misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rourke fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Terrier has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Rourke with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Terrier to score with a decent uppercut.
Rourke ducks under a wild hook from Terrier.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bull Terrier showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Terrier thows a body shot but no joy.
Rourke connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Terrier looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Terrier cracks Rourke with an open hand slap.
Rourke fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Terrier checks it well.
Terrier scores with a decent looking hook.
Rourke throws the left hand but Terrier avoids the punch easily.
A cross from Terrier lands.
Terrier throws a lazy uppercut
and Rourke counters with a nice body shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Rourke misses with a body shot.
Rourke keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Terrier walks into a straight right hand from Rourke.
Terrier throws a body punch but Rourke moves out of range.
Terrier swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rourke connects with a solid leg kick.
Terrier throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rourke.

Rourke fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Terrier.
Terrier takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Rourke connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Terrier's hands.
Terrier misses with a lunging right hand

and Rourke counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Rourke.
Rourke looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Rourke manages to break the clinch.
Nice defenses there by Rourke.
Rourke avoids the body shot from Terrier.
Rourke scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.


Terrier is rocked!
Terrier chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Rourke can pounce on him.
Terrier is still on wobbly legs! Can Rourke finish him?
Terrier gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Rourke gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mikko Rourke!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Mikko Rourke waved his t-shirt featuring Perkele!'s logo in front of the cameras.
