Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bj Cole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quention McNasty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bj Cole! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Quention McNasty! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cole moves in looking to clinch but McNasty pushes him off. Cole fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Cole shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. McNasty is trying to defend but Cole finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Cole controlling the action here. Cole stands up out of the half guard. Cole fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. McNasty looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cole is fending him off so far but McNasty persists. Nope, Cole circles away and we're back to standing. Cole misses with a leg kick and McNasty connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. McNasty clinches up against the cage. Cole jumps guard and drags McNasty to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Cole on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cole tries to get out of the position. McNasty trying to control but Cole is working from the bottom. Cole looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Cole seems keen to control McNasty's posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cole has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McNasty can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. McNasty wants to control from the top but Cole keeps moving. McNasty is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Cole controlling the position. McNasty really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cole. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Bj Cole. McNasty shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cole but Cole pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cole keeps the fight on the outside. Cole closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Cole tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. McNasty smiles and moves away.
Cole has his takedown stuffed and McNasty counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. McNasty lands a glancing blow to the side of Cole's head. Cole fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but McNasty avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bj Cole. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cole shoots in for a double leg but McNasty sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McNasty is looking to clinch but Cole is avoiding it.
Cole shoots in but no luck this time. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cole. Cole is breathing heavily. Cole tries to clinch up but McNasty circles away and keeps his distance. McNasty thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Cole if he has to take too many more of those.
The fight stays on the outside here - McNasty looks like he's thinking about clinching though. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cole lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as McNasty backs up against the cage.
McNasty is looking to clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

McNasty lands with a shot to the body. Cole looks to score with a jab to the body but McNasty is just out of range. McNasty lands a nice looking body shot.
Cole throws a leg kick but McNasty sees it coming and moves out of range. Cole fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Cole tries to clinch up but McNasty circles away and keeps his distance. Cole shoots in and gets a takedown into McNasty's guard. McNasty is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Cole showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. McNasty looking for a sweep. Not yet McNasty, not yet. McNasty pulls Cole in close to prevent any damage.
Bj Cole has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Cole has managed to clinch.
A short left from McNasty. Cole blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Cole is trying to push McNasty away but McNasty has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Cole is trying to work for a single leg takedown but McNasty pulls him back up using the underhooks. McNasty avoiding damage.
McNasty tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Cole avoids it. McNasty misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Cole is trying to trip McNasty. He has hold of a leg but McNasty is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Cole persists though and gets the takedown into guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now McNasty is on top in guard.
McNasty wants to control from the top but Cole keeps moving. McNasty must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McNasty throws a big elbow that misses. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cole wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McNasty trying to control but Cole is working from the bottom. Cole is looking for a triangle but McNasty pushes his legs off easily.

Quention McNasty has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. McNasty swings for the body but Cole moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nice shot lands for McNasty. Cole shoots in for a takedown but McNasty shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bj Cole. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cole looks for a takedown but McNasty sprawls well. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. McNasty lands with a nice body punch. McNasty scores with a crisp jab that stopped Cole in his tracks. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. McNasty throws a head kick that half lands.
A momentary lapse in concentration from McNasty enables Cole to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. McNasty manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Bj Cole will probably get the nod. That's time! Cole's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Cole fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging McNasty to the ground. Cole is now in McNasty's guard. Cole wants to pass the guard but McNasty is keeping the position. McNasty is trying to control the position from the bottom.
McNasty is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Cole decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on McNasty, up you get! Cole fails with the takedown. Bj Cole is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's one minute gone in the round. McNasty circles away from the clinch attempt.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cole is defended easily by McNasty. Both fighters are breathing heavily. McNasty shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cole sprawls well. Cole wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. McNasty gets slowly back to his feet. McNasty connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Cole's hands.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. McNasty tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cole paws at him with a jab and circles away. McNasty with a hook. McNasty scores with a jab to the head.
Cole tries to clinch and McNasty counters with a thumping low kick. Cole fails in his attempt to clinch. Cole shoots in looking for a takedown but McNasty manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cole's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bj Cole. That's going to take a lot out of him. McNasty scores with a head kick. Cole tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Cole scores with a jab to the body. Cole circles away from the clinch attempt.

Nice shot lands for McNasty. Quention McNasty has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Quention McNasty seems to be getting the better of the standup. Cole closes the distance and clinches up with McNasty, looking for a takedown. Cole pushes McNasty against the cage but McNasty circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. McNasty catches Cole with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Cole drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. McNasty tries to strike from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. McNasty wants to sweep here but Cole controlling him for the moment.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Bj Cole just wasn't active enough. Cole closes the distance and clinches up with McNasty, looking for a takedown. Cole pushes McNasty against the cage but McNasty circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cole takes a body punch but keeps moving. Horrible takedown by Cole or perhaps it was just good defense by McNasty which made him look bad. Bj Cole is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. McNasty is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Cole takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
And that's the end of the fight! Bj Cole showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cole, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
