Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Loholt Pendragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Mercury (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pendragon comes to the ring accompanied by Game of Thrones. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Loholt Pendragon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Pete Mercury! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Micheangelo Fripello and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pendragon takes a swing at Mercury's ribcage but misses. Mercury keeps the fight on the outside. Mercury slips under a jab. Mercury slips a straight right by Pendragon. Pendragon looks to score with a jab to the body but Mercury is just out of range. Pendragon misses with a left hand and Mercury counters with a stiff right hand. No luck with that takedown attempt from Pendragon. Pendragon waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Mercury. A looping hook to the body misses from Pendragon. Mercury does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pendragon is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mercury sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Mercury misses with an uppercut. Pendragon saw that one coming. Pendragon swings for the body but Mercury moves out of range.
Pendragon tries to clinch but Mercury is having none of it. Pendragon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mercury's waist but Mercury gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pendragon off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Loholt Pendragon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nice straight punches there by Mercury. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Mercury. Pendragon misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Mercury counters with a nice uppercut. Pendragon shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mercury defends it nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mercury swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Pendragon tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Mercury paws at him with a jab and circles away. Pendragon just misses with a punch to the body.
Pendragon looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Mercury! We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Pendragon works to advance to full mount. Mercury defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Pendragon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Pendragon lands a big shot there that rocks Mercury but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pendragon trying to control but Mercury is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pendragon manages to capitalize on a mistake by Mercury to take his back! Pendragon is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Mercury really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pendragon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Mercury showing good submission defense here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pendragon is not going to allow Mercury to sit and survive in this position. Mercury can't escape the position.
Mercury is trying to defend against the choke here but Pendragon has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Pendragon Tightens the hold and Mercury taps out furiously! Pendragon displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Loholt Pendragon! Loholt Pendragon very nearly forgot to thank Pirates Powder amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
