Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ultimate Damage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Damage shoots in and drives through. Thompson sprawls well.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Damage.
No joy there for Thompson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Damage misses with a head kick.
Ultimate Damage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thompson leaves Damage with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Damage avoids the head kick by Thompson.
Thompson lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Damage gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Thompson tries to break free but Damage pushes him back against the cage.

Damage would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Thompson is on top in guard.
Damage is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Damage is looking to take this one to the mat.
Damage tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Thompson just stands there and leans against the cage.

A frustrated look appears on Thompson's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Thompson gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Damage.
Thompson is trying to push Damage away but Damage has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Damage breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Damage drives through and clinches with Thompson against the cage.
Thompson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Thompson checks a leg kick nicely.
Thompson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Damage.
Damage throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Thompson swings widly with a right hand
so Damage counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Damage landing with the ground and pound.
Damage slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Damage trying to control but Thompson is working from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Thompson looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Damage puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Damage has picked Thompson up - he's going for a ride! Damage dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Thompson won't allow Damage to pass to mount.

Damage escapes and gets back to his feet.
Damage fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Thompson jabbing away but nothing is landing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Damage closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Thompson quickly recovers to half guard.
Thompson is looking to improve his position.
Ground and pound from Damage.
Damage trying to control from half guard but Thompson is working away.
Damage works his foot free and advances to mount.

Damage can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Thompson is looking to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Damage takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Thompson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Thompson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
A big strike lands for Damage! That's really hurt Thompson and he's turned his back - Damage keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Damage jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
