Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Eagles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jordan Stone!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Sam Margolis and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone tries to score a power double leg takedown but Eagles sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Stone somewhat.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Eagles.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Stone prevents Eagles from moving into mount.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stone can do anything to dispel that myth.
Stone is looking to get back to his feet here but Eagles is keeping cool and he's managed to take Stone's back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
What can Stone do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Eagles looking for the choke but no joy.
Stone looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
Eagles could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Stone is trying to break free.
Stone is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Eagles is looking to finish with some ground and pound!

Stone trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.

Stone holding both Eagles 's hands and preventing any damage.

Eagles is working hard for the rear naked choke here.

Eagles seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Stone for as long as he can get away with.

Stone is trying to shake Eagles off. He's managed it and has hopped back to his feet! Eagles won't be happy about giving up the dominant position.
Eagles shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stone pinned against the cage. Stone gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Stone shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Eagles as he avoids it easily.
Eagles throws a series of punches but Stone avoids them all with ease.

Eagles is trying hard to land a takedown here. Stone sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Eagles misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Stone.
Eagles lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Eagles keeps the fight on the outside.
Eagles misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Eagles is breathing heavily.

Stone throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Eagles was covering up waiting for the punch and Stone finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Stone slips nicely into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chris Eagles dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Eagles thows a leg kick but Stone checks it
and Stone counters with a stiff right hand.
Stone fails in his attempt to clinch.
Stone tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Eagles paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Eagles gets the takedown into side control.
Stone trying his best to control but Eagles has mounted him.
Stone really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Stone bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Eagles seems keen to control Stone's posture.
Stone must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Eagles manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Stone keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Eagles controlling from the full mount.
Stone tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Stone is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Eagles controlling his opponent.
Eagles lands a big shot there that rocks Stone but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Stone is trying to stand up.
Chris Eagles overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Stone is breathing heavily.
Stone is in a horrible position here. Eagles smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Stone has left one of his arms exposed and Eagles doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Stone screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Chris Eagles!
Chris Eagles opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
