The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jurcina misses with a double jab
and Lakanik counters with a good low kick that Jurcina was not able to check.
A punch combination from Jurcina misses.
Jurcina takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Lakanik misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lakanik pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lakanik lands a nice looking body kick.
Lakanik tries a head kick but it misses.
Jurcina blocks a head kick by Lakanik.
Jurcina defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lakanik.
Jurcina throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lakanik slips a jab and a cross from Jurcina.

Jurcina throws a left and a right that both miss
and Lakanik counters with an inside leg kick.
Lakanik tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Jurcina tries to bum rush Lakanik with a series of wild strikes but Lakanik uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lakanik scores with a nice right hand.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Jurcina throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A nice leg kick lands there from Lakanik.
Jurcina looks winded!
Jurcina rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lakanik moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sloppy strikes from Jurcina. Those never looked like landing.

Lakanik attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Jurcina chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Lakanik can pounce on him.
Lakanik fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Jurcina is out of range.
Jurcina swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jurcina throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Lakanik counters with a head kick that drops Jurcina to the mat! Jurcina scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lakanik throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Lakanik takes a swing at Jurcina's ribcage but misses.
Jurcina walks into a straight right hand from Lakanik.
Jurcina blocks a head kick by Lakanik.
Lakanik is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jurcina sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Jurcina drops his hands momentarily and Lakanik takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Lakanik pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Lakanik! Jurcina is out on his feet! Lakanik rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Jurcina is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Jurcina is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

John Lakanik spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
