Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Erick Silvinho! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Claudio Cregg! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cregg shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Silvinho as he avoids it easily. Cregg defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Silvinho. Silvinho throws a sloppy head kick and Cregg moves out of range easily. Cregg shoots in for a takedown but Silvinho shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Cregg fails to land the takedown. Erick Silvinho has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Claudio Cregg. Silvinho gets a clinch. Cregg prevents the takedown attempt.
Nice elbow from Silvinho. Cregg prevents a body shot from Silvinho. Silvinho unloads a knee to the mid-section. Silvinho successfully pulls guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Silvinho working a defensive guard here.
Cregg throws an elbow that misses. Silvinho uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cregg's guard. Nice move by Silvinho!
That's one minute gone in the round. Cregg looking to hit a scissor sweep but Silvinho is one step ahead there. Cregg keeping moving, preventing Silvinho from controlling successfully. Silvinho passes into half guard under a barage of strikes. Silvinho stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Cregg to get to his feet. Silvinho gets caught napping as Cregg dives in and scores a takedown. Silvinho manages to retain guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Silvinho is on top in guard.
Cregg has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Silvinho has passed into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cregg is trying to get back to half guard. Cregg is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Silvinho throws an elbow but Cregg slips to the side and avoids it well. Silvinho wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cregg keeps working. An elbow from Silvinho crashes against the mat.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Cregg looks frustrated here - throwing a couple of shots from the bottom though.
Cregg is looking to reverse the position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Silvinho trying to control the position but Cregg is working away.

Silvinho wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cregg, who protects the arm well. Silvinho is looking to take a break and control but Cregg is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. A control attempt from Cregg but he's now mounted! Silvinho punching from mount but Cregg doing a good job of avoiding damage. Silvinho tries to control but Cregg wriggling away. Cregg tries to lock up and control but Silvinho gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silvinho throws some wild stikes that Cregg manages to avoid easily.
Silvinho tries to control but Cregg wriggling away. Cregg keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Silvinho swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
