Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Neil Rollins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Artiom Nevar! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rollins cracks Nevar with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Nevar swings for the body but Rollins moves out of range.
Nevar throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Rollins lands a left and a right that sends Nevar crashing to the canvas! Rollins dives into mount looking to finish!
Nevar is rocked! Nevar is desperately trying to improve his position but Rollins has a good base and remains in mount. Nevar is still in real trouble! Can Rollins finish him? Rollins content just to control the position here. Rollins has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Nevar seems to have recovered his senses. Rollins can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Nevar is looking to escape. Nevar is trying desperately to improve position.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nevar is squirming around, avoiding Rollins's attempts to control the action. Nevar is looking to improve his position but Rollins isn't that keen on the idea. Rollins controlling from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Nevar is looking to get to half guard. Rollins is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Nevar has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Nevar is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Rollins tries to control but Nevar wriggling away. Nevar regains half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Nevar missing with punches from the bottom.

Nevar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Nevar is looking to sweep but instead, Rollins has passed into half guard.
Nevar is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rollins is looking to take a break and control but Nevar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are battling for position here. Nevar manages to regain full guard. Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rollins looks to score with a jab to the body but Nevar is just out of range. Rollins is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Rollins throws a right and a left that Nevar avoids nicely. Rollins tries to clinch there but Nevar circles away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rollins throws a right and a left that both miss. Nevar dodges the punch combination from Rollins.

Rollins connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Nevar changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rollins tries to avoid it but Nevar manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rollins to the ground. Rollins escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Nevar is breathing heavily. Rollins tries to clinch but Nevar is having none of it. Rollins misses with a two punch combination.

Rollins tries to close the distance and clinch but Nevar swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Rollins tries to clinch up. Rollins bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Rollins feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Nevar's calf.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rollins throws a nice looking combination but Nevar bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Rollins tries to clinch but Nevar is having none of it. Rollins lands with a right hand. Left hook, right uppercut from Rollins. Rollins scores with a jab to the jaw. Nevar fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Neil Rollins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Artiom Nevar. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nevar throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Nevar with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Rollins to score with a decent uppercut. Rollins throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rollins stuffs the takedown. Rollins throws a series of punches but Nevar avoids them all with ease. Rollins fails with an attempt to clinch.
A head kick from Rollins lands but Nevar takes it in his stride. Nevar looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Rollins tries to clinch there but Nevar circles away.

Nevar wants to get back to full guard but Rollins has passed into side control. Rollins controlling from the full mount. Nevar is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rollins tries to control but Nevar wriggling away. Rollins sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rollins can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Nevar is looking to escape. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rollins will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Nevar up against the cage. Rollins works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Rollins lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Rollins tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Rollins using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Nevar has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Rollins scores with an uppercut up the middle. Rollins's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Rollins misses with a knee strike.

Rollins lands an elbow that stopped Nevar in his tracks for a moment. Nevar is working for takedown but Rollins is calmly controlling the position for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Rollins landing knees to the head.

Nevar changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Rollins fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Nevar stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Rollins. Good leg kick by Rollins there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Nevar throws a head kick that misses and Rollins counters with a left and a right that stings Nevar. Artiom Nevar has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rollins with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
And that's the end of the fight! Neil Rollins showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rollins, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
