Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ozgur Fardi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Neil Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Ozgur Fardi has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ozgur Fardi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Neil Santos! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Radbod Blank and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santos fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Santos clinches. The referee is keeping an eye on Santos - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Santos breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Fardi moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Neil Santos has been cut. Santos falls off balance throwing a combination
and Fardi counters with a two punch combo. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Santos. Fardi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fardi wants it to stay on the feet. Ozgur Fardi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Neil Santos. Santos misses with a double jab
and Fardi counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Santos looks winded! Santos preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Santos keeping full guard, as Fardi tries to pass. Fardi drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Santos manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Fardi has Santos in his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fardi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Santos doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Santos manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Santos trying to control but Fardi is working from the bottom. Fardi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Santos looking to sit in guard and control but Fardi gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Fardi postures up and lands a big shot to Santos's brow. Fardi wants to control from the top but Santos keeps moving. Santos escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fardi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fardi sitting in guard here, content to control. Fardi forces his way into half guard. Fardi wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Santos is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Fardi trying to control the action but Santos is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ground and pound from Fardi. Fardi wants to work for an arm triangle but Santos is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Santos is not content to let Fardi control the position. Fardi is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Santos is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Fardi wants to stand but Santos has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Fardi tries to pass to full mount but Santos defends it. Fardi seems to be working for a kimura but Santos defends the submission attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fardi trying to pass the guard but Santos defending well. Fardi passes to side control. Santos is looking for a sweep. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Fardi is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Santos is trying to escape and Fardi transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Santos is forced to tap! Nice work there by Fardi! Very nice indeed!
