Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rufus Dreyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ritchie Vallens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ritchie Vallens has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rufus Dreyer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ritchie Vallens! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Bruno Hogan and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dreyer misses with a double jab.
Dreyer changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. The fight moves into the clinch position. Dreyer landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Dreyer breaks from the clinch.
Dreyer looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Vallens fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Vallens shoots in and drives through. Dreyer sprawls well. Vallens looks gassed! Dreyer throws a nice outside leg kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Vallens dodges the punch combination from Dreyer.

It looks like Ritchie Vallens has been cut. Dreyer moves into the clinch. Dreyer lands a damaging elbow. Dreyer scores a nice knee to the body.
Dreyer taking a breather. Vallens is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Dreyer lands an elbow inside that Vallens shrugs off. Vallens takes an elbow to the forehead. Dreyer landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Dreyer lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Vallens. Dreyer pushes Vallens back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Dreyer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Dreyer explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Dreyer lands with a right hand. Dreyer misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Some wild striking there from Dreyer.
Vallens takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Rufus Dreyer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Dreyer gets in close and instigates a clinch. Dreyer stalling.
Vallens jumps guard but Dreyer stands there with Vallens around his waist. Vallens gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Rufus Dreyer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ritchie Vallens. Dreyer landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Vallens shoots in for a takedown but Dreyer shows good takedown defense. Dreyer throws a nice looking combination but Vallens bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Dreyer throws a series of punches but Vallens moves out of range. Dreyer tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Vallens shoots in and drives through. Dreyer sprawls well. Dreyer scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Vallens shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Vallens drives through with a takedown into guard. Vallens drops back looking for a leg! Dreyer is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dreyer manages to kick Vallens off! Vallens jumps back into Dreyer's guard. Dreyer trying to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dreyer is trying to hold Vallens in close to prevent damage but Vallens has managed to pass into half guard.
Vallens is pressing down on Dreyer's thigh, looking to free his foot. Dreyer is holding on for now. Dreyer wants to control but Vallens is keeping busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dreyer striking from half guard on the bottom. Dreyer is in trouble now - Vallens has advanced to mount! Vallens goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Dreyer is on top in guard.

Dreyer advances to half guard. Vallens is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Well, if Dreyer is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

A head kick misses from Dreyer. Vallens changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dreyer tries to avoid it but Vallens manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dreyer to the ground. Dreyer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Some wild striking there from Dreyer.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dreyer throws a series of punches but Vallens moves out of range. Vallens shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dreyer's guard. Dreyer tries to land a sweep but no joy. Vallens drops back looking for a leg! Dreyer is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dreyer manages to kick Vallens off! Vallens jumps back into Dreyer's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vallens is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Vallens drops back looking for a leg! Dreyer is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dreyer manages to kick Vallens off! Vallens jumps back into Dreyer's guard. Vallens drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Dreyer manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Vallens has Dreyer in his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Dreyer trying to control but Vallens is working from the bottom. Dreyer is really struggling to control Vallens but he's trying to hold on to the position. Vallens is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Dreyer controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dreyer won't allow Vallens to sweep him here. Dreyer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vallens swivels though and keeps the full guard. Dreyer landing some decent shots from guard. Dreyer is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Dreyer throws a strike but Vallens rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Dreyer is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Vallens pushing down on Dreyer's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Vallens is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Dreyer has managed to free his arm - good work. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Vallens tries to pass the half guard into mount. Dreyer knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ritchie Vallens showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Ritchie Vallens's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Vallens is working for a guillotine from mount but Dreyer frees his head quite easily.
Dreyer wants to control but Vallens is having none of it. Vallens has hold of Dreyer's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Dreyer manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Vallens is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Dreyer is surviving well by controlling Vallens's body position as best he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Vallens looking to secure an arm triangle but Dreyer defends it well. Dreyer is desperately trying to improve his position but Vallens has a good base and remains in mount. Vallens goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Dreyer turns into him and now he's in Vallens's guard.
Dreyer is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Dreyer throws a big right hand that misses. Dreyer has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vallens wants to sweep here but Dreyer controlling him for the moment. Vallens looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Dreyer passes into half guard.
Dreyer wants to take a breather but Vallens is having none of it. Vallens makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Vallens. Dreyer passes Vallens's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Vallens is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Dreyer jumps into side control! Vallens is trying to improve his position. Vallens trying to remain calm as Dreyer controls from the top position. Vallens tries to get back to half guard but can't. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Vallens prevents Dreyer from improving position. Vallens tries to bench press Dreyer off him but Dreyer keeps the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Ritchie Vallens comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Vallens has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
