The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Hirohito Nitta and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fertus swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Fertus misses with a two punch combination.
Fertus scores with a head kick. Skywalker tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
It looks like Rousimar Palhares Skywalker has been cut.
Skywalker looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Fertus lunges at Skywalker with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Skywalker's hand.
A combination from Skywalker does no damage.
A punch lands to the side of Fertus 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Skywalker throws a nice looking combination but Fertus bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Fertus slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Skywalker has Fertus pressed against the cage, preventing Fertus from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Skywalker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fertus moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Skywalker wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Fertus throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fertus tries to clinch there but Skywalker circles away.

Skywalker looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Fertus is looking to escape.

Fertus tries to kick Skywalker off in order to stand up. Skywalker Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Fertus looks to move to half guard but instead Skywalker has passed into mount! Damn!

Skywalker can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Fertus is looking to escape.

Fertus wants to control but Skywalker is having none of it.
Fertus is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Fertus swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Skywalker with a couple of short strikes.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Fertus bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Skywalker is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Fertus looks like he's trying to stand up.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Fertus misses with a combination
and Skywalker counters by moving into the clinch.
Fertus is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Skywalker is defending well for now.
Skywalker has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Fertus clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
What can Fertus do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Fertus is trapped and Skywalker is scoring with shots to the head and body.

Skywalker just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Skywalker is hanging on to Fertus's back as he tries to escape.
Fertus wants to get back to his feet.
Skywalker lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Skywalker.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Skywalker lands a big shot to the side of the head and Fertus goes limp! He's out cold - the ref jumps in to save him from more punishment!

A relieved looking Rousimar Palhares Skywalker thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
