Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mark Duane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cory Leanord (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Duane !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cory Leanord!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leanord instigates a clinch.
Leanord gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Duane .
Leanord jumps guard and drags Duane to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Leanord is trying to keep Duane in close.
Duane looking to pass the guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Leanord is on top in guard.
Duane is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Duane utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Leanord is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Leanord avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Leanord trying to control the position from guard on top but Duane is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Leanord wanted to stand there but Duane had control of the position.
Duane pulls Leanord in to control the position.
Duane keeping moving, preventing Leanord from controlling successfully.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Cory Leanord hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Duane takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Duane scores with a one two! Leanord had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Duane throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Leanord was covering up waiting for the punch and Duane finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Leanord preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Duane not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Duane has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Leanord looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Duane puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Duane looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Duane is thwarting Leanord's attempts to control the position.
Leanord manages to get to full guard.
Duane gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Leanord fails with the takedown
and Duane counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Leanord thinking.
Duane feints and as Leanord raises his hands in defense, Duane changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Duane avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Leanord looks winded!
Duane not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Duane stands up and waves to Leanord to follow him.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Leanord shoots and misses
and Duane counters with a left and a right that stings Leanord.
Duane scores with a takedown into Leanord's guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Leanord can't keep his opponent in guard - Duane advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Leanord is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Duane scores with a couple of nice shots.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Duane dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!
Duane is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Leanord's half guard.
Mark Duane overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Leanord gets full guard.
Leanord is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Duane sitting in guard here, content to control.
Duane has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Leanord is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Duane is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Duane controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Duane knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Leanord on the ground.
Leanord is trying to keep Duane in close.
Duane is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

We're going to have a standup here because Mark Duane wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Duane closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Leanord is looking to control Duane 's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Leanord avoid being mounted?
Duane controlling the pace.
Duane is thwarting Leanord's attempts to control the position.
Duane looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Duane takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
The fight stays on the outside here - Leanord looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Duane throws a lazy body kick
enabling Leanord to counter with a crisp jab.
A head kick from Leanord lands but Duane takes it in his stride.
Leanord doesn't manage to clinch there - Duane circles away.
A combination from Duane does no damage.
Leanord fails with the takedown
and Duane counters with a takedown into side control.
Leanord is breathing heavily.
Duane has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Leanord scores with a decent looking hook.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Duane moves into range and clinches up with Leanord.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Duane pulls Leanord into guard.
Leanord wants to stand but Duane is controlling his posture from full guard.
Duane pulls Leanord in close to prevent any damage.
Duane is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Leanord frees his head nicely. Oh but Duane has switched to an armbar! Leanord is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
