Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Liston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Nunes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nunes has chosen Can't be touched as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jack Liston!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Diego Nunes!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Ren Mimura and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nunes looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Nunes looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Nunes is keen to just control but Liston is a slippery customer.
Liston is doing well to control the position and prevent Nunes from advancing to side control.
Nunes is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Liston knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nunes on the ground.

Nunes closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Nunes is working for a kimura but Liston is defending it quite comfortably.

Nunes shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Nunes was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Liston on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Liston tries to get out of the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Nunes shoots in and bounces Liston off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Nunes bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Nunes thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Diego Nunes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Liston's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

I would just about give that final round to Diego Nunes.
Well Nunes has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
