Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marek Markowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erki Taar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Erki Taar! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Markowski misses with the combination.
Markowski lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Taar backs up against the cage.
Markowski lands with a right hand. Markowski clobbers Taar with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Markowski lands with a hook. Taar tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Markowski scores with a one two! Taar had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Markowski really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Markowski slaps away a takedown attempt from Taar, before circling back to the center of the mat. Taar clinches up against the cage. Taar trying to land knees to the body.

Markowski has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Taar is proving hard to escape from. Taar should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Markowski throws a wild body kick that Taar sees coming a mile off. Nice straight punches there by Markowski. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Markowski. Markowski misses with the combination.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Taar shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Markowski as he jumps to the side. Markowski works Taar's body with a nice hook. Taar slips a jab and a cross from Markowski.

Markowski is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. A combination from Taar does no damage. Markowski misses with a body kick. A jab lands there for Markowski. Taar takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Markowski uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Taar. Taar fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Markowski throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Left hook, right uppercut from Markowski. Taar throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Markowski tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Taar is in Markowski's guard. Taar engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Taar is breathing heavily.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Erki Taar hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Markowski throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Markowski closes the distance and lands a one-two. Markowski is looking to land body kicks. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Taar tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
And that's the end of the fight! Marek Markowski showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Markowski, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
